Mirjana Katić
Mirjana Katić is the Principal of the Mathematical High School in Belgrade and one of Serbia’s leading experts in mathematics education. She graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Belgrade, where she was recognized as the best student of her generation.
With over two decades of experience, she has played a key role in advancing education, working with gifted students, and developing national curricula. As a mentor, her students have won more than 100 medals at the most prestigious international competitions, including the IMO, BMO, and EGMO.
She is actively involved in international cooperation and projects, is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, and has received numerous awards for her outstanding contribution to education and the development of talented students.
The panel discussion “Lokalac Online” brings together representatives from the Lokalac initiative, education, and the civil sector to showcase how digital platforms can create real social impact. Through concrete examples, the panel will explore responsibility, solidarity, and the role of the internet in connecting and supporting local communities.
Moderator Marijana Borković from RNIDS, who leads the Lokalac project, will present the project’s results, future plans, and introduce the new Lokalac collection.
Tijana Adamov Ignjatović will explain why Lokalac won the Campaign with a Purpose 2025 award in the Social category and will speak about the importance of socially responsible campaigns in today’s digital environment.
