The Day of Internet Domains of Serbia (DIDS) is being held this year on March 12 at the Belgrade Youth Center. Special attention during the event will traditionally be given to the online use of the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet.
The conference organizer – the Serbian National Internet Domain Register Foundation (RNIDS) – has been helping the Serbian Internet community use the Cyrillic alphabet more easily in their daily work. To achieve that mission, one of the most important activities is educating and promoting the best examples from current practice, for which DIDS 2024 is the right place.
The central questions of the keynote lecture by Dušan Stojičević, deputy president of the RNIDS Board of Directors, Cyrillic on the Internet – Pros and Cons are: Does Cyrillic have a place on the Internet? and Does using the Cyrillic alphabet go smoothly?
