The fifteenth Serbian Internet Domains Day – DIDS 2025 conference will be held on March 18th, 2025 in the Belgrade Dom Omladine venue, organised by the Serbian National Internet Domain Registry.
The slogan for this year’s conference is Back to the Future, and the speakers, panellists and conference participants will delve deeply together into the hot topic of the future of the Internet. This future brings us new regulations that we will have to follow if we want to maintain our presence and our businesses on the Internet.
The keynote address will be by Polina Malaja, Policy Director at the Council of European National Top-Level Domain Registries (CENTR). She is responsible for their business policy, working with governments, institutions and other organisations in the Internet ecosystem. In her presentation she will talk about the Internet past and present, and about scenarios that potentially await us in the future.
A panel discussion will follow which explores key aspects of the future of the Internet in terms of global regulations, technological innovations and business trends. There will be discussion with local and international experts of the implications of the NIS2 regulation, GDPR and other current standards on technical infrastructure and privacy.
Part of the event will also be set aside for a presentation of the Digital Development Index of Serbian Enterprises portal.This index scores the use of the Internet for business purposes by Serbian enterprises, including their use of websites, emails, social media and online commerce, as well as how much they use online payments in their own business operations.
As in previous years, positive examples of the use of national Internet domains will be presented, case studies that will give us an insight into good practices in using .rs and .срб domains as well as into the benefits a business can derive from having a website. Also, the results of the “A Local on the Internet” project will be presented, and the new clothing collection for 2025 will be premièred.
Attendance at the conference is free of charge, however registration on the conference website is required due to the limited number of places. A live stream will be available on the RNIDS YouTube channel.
